Extraordinary Ministry

Name:

Extraordinary Ministers also known as Eucharistic Ministry

Mission:

The mission of Extraordinary Ministers is to to assist the priests of our parish to help administer Holy Communion during Mass.

As our church also strongly encourages family members of the infirmed to bring Holy Communion back home for their own loved ones, we will also provide the necessary training. While we as EMs are pleased to assist, we can only commit to administering an average of once a month, as we do have many families to visit each week. Hence, being trained to bring home communion is advantageous, as you have the luxury of administering Home Communion as frequently as you wish.

If you have a loved one who is unable to be physically present in church for Mass, and you would like to be trained in bringing home communion, please contact our Parish Secretary to register at 62574229.

You must, however, fulfill the following criteria:

  1. You and your loved one (who is infirmed), must be baptized Catholics.
  2. The infirmed has to be a registered parishioner of the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea. If not, do kindly approach the parish you belong to. Your parish would also be able to assist you accordingly.
  3. You should be, preferably, aged 21 and above.

The Extraordinary Ministers of the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea look forward to serving you.
